CAMPER PIES
Ingredients:
Ground Beef
Potatoes
Onions
Carrots
Margarine or Butter
Dry Onion Soup Mix
How To Prepare:
For each "PIE" get two squares of aluminum
foil and place them on top of each other
(you will need it to be this thick as you will
be putting this in the coals of your fire).
For each "PIE" put (1) Hamburger, Sliced
Onions, Sliced Potatoes (make sure they
are thinly sliced or they will not cook well),
sliced carrots, a tablespoon of butter & some
dry onion soup mix (this adds excellent flavor).
Seal up your "PIE" and place in the coals.
Cook for 30 to 45 minutes or until done.
Make sure the coals are red hot but don't put
them in the flames. Enjoy!
CAMPFIRE POCKETBOOKS
Ingredients:
2 lbs. - Round Steak, cubed
-or-
2 lbs. - Lean Ground Beef
Teriyaki Sauce
4 - Medium Potatoes, (Diced)
4 - Carrots, (Sliced)
2-3 - Celery Stalks, (Sliced)
Salt & Pepper to taste
How To Prepare:
Marinate Round Steak in Teriyaki Sauce at least
1 hour (this is poured into a freezer bag until
there is enough, then left in the camp cooler on
ice). If using ground beef, skip the marinating
part; form into 8 patties. Cut very heavy duty
aluminium foil into squares, roughly 10 inches.
Portion the meat and vegetables into the center
of the foil or 1 burger per packet and if using
burgers add a dash of teriyaki (I prefer
Worcestershire sauce if making burgers).
Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Fold the squares
of foil and double-seal securely. You will
need to be able to turn the packets over
without losing the contents. Place on a grill
rack over a low burning wood fire about 45
minutes, turning about halfway through cooking
time. Be careful when opening the packets as
the steam will be hot.
Note: We placed these in the pit next to the
fire, indirect heat. This works if you don't
have a grill rack to put over the fire pit.

JOKES
Two Eskimos
Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were
chilly, but when they lit a fire in
the craft it sank...proving once and
for all that you can't have your kayak
and heat it, too.

Hunter or Fisherman?
What's the difference between a hunter
and a fisherman? A hunter lies in wait.
A fisherman waits and lies.

You might be a Fisherman if...
* You have a power worm dangling from
your rear view mirror because you think
it makes a good air freshener.
* Your wedding party had to tie tin cans to
the back of your bass boat.
* You call your boat "sweetheart" and your
wife "skeeter".
* Your local tackle shop has your credit
card number on file.
* You keep a flippin stick by your favorite
chair to change the TV channels with.
* You name your black lab "Mercury" and
your cat "Evinrude".* Bass Pro Shop
has a private line just for you.
* You have your name painted on a parking
space at the launch ramp.
* You have a photo of your 10 lb. bass on
your desk at work instead of your family.
* You consider viennies and crackers a
complete meal.
* You think MEGABYTES means a great day
fishing.
* You send your kid off to the first day
of school with his shoes tied in a palomar
knot.
* You think there are four seasons...
Pre-spawn, Spawn, Post Spawn and Hunting.
* Your $30,000 bass boat's trailer needs
new tires so you just "borrow" the ones
off your house.
* You trade your wife's van for a smaller
vehicle so your bass boat will fit in the
garage.
* Your kids know it's Saturday...
Because the boats gone.

First Time Campers
Some first time campers from the city were
on a camping trip. The mosquitoes were so
fierce, the guys had to hide under their
blankets to avoid being bitten. Then one of
them saw some lightning bugs and said to
his friend, "We might as well give up.
They’re coming after us with flashlights."

A Few Blond Jokes
#1:
On the first day of training for parachute
jumping, a blonde listened intently to the
instructor. He told them to start preparing
for landing when they are at 300 feet.
The blonde asked, "How am I supposed to
know when I'm at 300 feet?"
"That's a good question. When you get to
300 feet, you can recognize the faces of
people on the ground."
After pondering his answer, she asked,
"What happens if there's no one there I know?"

#2:
A blonde and a redhead met for dinner
after work and were watching the
6 o'clock news. A man was shown
threatening to jump from the Brooklyn
Bridge. The blonde bet the redhead
$50 that he wouldn't jump, and the
redhead replied, "I'll take that bet!"
Anyway, sure enough, he jumped, so the
blonde gave the redhead the $50 she
owned. The redhead said, "I can't
take this, you're my friend." The
blonde said, "No. A bet's a bet."
So the redhead said, "Listen, I have to
admit, I saw this one on the 5 o'clock
news, so I can't take your money."
The blonde replied, "Well, so did I, but
I never thought he'd jump again!"
